The Daily Shed #122 – If you want to start a fight in a room full of woodworkers, ask for advice on the best way to set up a too. Pick a jointer. Want to know how to properly set up a jointer? Just ask. There’ll be about a dozen different opinions, then arguing, maybe even a few punches.
Not really.
But there does seem to be a number of “high precision” woodworkers here on YouTube who set up their tools to some sort of magical 10 thousandths of an inch. Then there’s the rest of us that say “close enough is good enough.” Let me show you how I set up my jointer.
