SOLID CHERRY HEADBOARD WITH BUILT-IN NIGHTLIGHT – YouTube
I recently bought a new platform bed and mattress. I didn’t spring for the bed frame that included a headboard because I knew I had this cherry and I wanted to make my own. I had to make a run to my lumber supplier (Thanks Mike!) while working on this because I didn’t have enough clear cherry to use.
The lights were always a part of the design and I’m super happy with them. They light up the room with a soft glow that is very inviting.

Q: Why don’t you own a stud-finder?
A: Why would I? The knock method has never failed me. Been doing it my entire life.
Q: Why didn’t you use a domino joiner?
A: Because I don’t have $1,500 to spend on a toy that adds nothing to the project. Pocket holes are great for this use.
Q: Why do you always lose footage?
A: I’m not a very good producer.
