Solder Kit Tutorial – 6 Sided Dice (Giveaway) – YouTube
I bought some soldering kits off of AliExpress a while back. I intended to teach basic soldering techniques on The Daily Shed but never figured out a way to incorporate it into the show. The kits have been sitting around for a while now, so I thought it was time to make a video for them.
This is a long video because I explain each step of the process for this kit. If you wanted to learn basic electronics soldering, these kits are great, but they don’t come with instructions, so they are intimidating. I try to explain everything in this video as I move through the process.
If you want to assemble this kit, you’ll need a soldering iron, solder, some snips, and a power supply. I used a USB so I can plug it into anything, but if you don’t want to do that, you’ll need a power supply that ranges from 4.5-6 volts. I also recommend a multi-meter so you can check the components as you go.
