Simple Miter Saw Bench – YouTube
I’ve been wanting a miter saw bench for a long time. The basic idea is that the bench-top is flush with the bed of the saw. That way, whatever I’m cutting is fully supported by the bench before, during, and after the cut.
I wanted to keep this project simple and cost effective, so the entire bench is built of construction-grade 2″x4″ pine. The top is two layers, 3/4″ MDF and 3/4″ melamine. I didn’t want to drill through the melamine and screw it down … or glue it … instead, I cut a simple edge trim from pine and the melamine drops in.
