Paralyzed Monkeys Walk After Implants – YouTube
The Daily Shed #177 – Recently, there’s been some advancement towards the repair of spinal injury… in monkeys. Scientists in Switzerland have developed a technology that can interpret the correct signals from the motor cortex in rhesus monkeys and translate that into nerve stimulations in the lower spinal column.
The incredible part is that there is no need for physical therapy after. The monkeys were walking within days of receiving the implants. WHOA.
